A maker-space is typically equipped with an array of flexible computer-controlled tools that cover several different length scales and various materials, with the aim to make "almost anything". This includes technology enabled products generally perceived as limited to mass production.

Fablabs in the world

Since 2003, when the first Fablab was created at the Boston MIT, the spread of Fablabs across the world increased exponentially. In 2019, 1728 Fablab are officially recognized in the world.

Italy is the third country in the world for the number of fablabs recognized are 164. the regions where these realities are more alive are Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna and Veneto.

What is a Makerspace?

Tools, big objects are overall distributed in Fablabs. Most of the fablabs need optimization of spaces as their daily lifecycle is usually twofolds: calm and work-friendly, but also full of passionate hackers that collaborate in these environments.
